The -ला form plus के बाद means after doing.
How It Works
Turn the verb into a noun with -ला, then use it before के बाद.

Vowels in the stem often get short before -ला: खा becomes खइ-.
The same form takes other postpositions: खइला से (by eating) and कइला में (in doing). Speakers also say -ले के बाद, but the -ला form is the one to write.
