गइनी / कइनी
I Did: -नी
-नी is the past ending for हम and रउआ.
How It Works
| Verb | I did |
|---|---|
| जाइल go | गइनी |
| आवल come | अइनी |
| खाइल eat | खइनी |
| करल do | कइनी |
| पढ़ल read | पढ़नी |
| देखल see | देखनी |
| देल give | दिहनी |
| लेल take | लिहनी |
The same -नी is used for a man and a woman speaking. रउआ also takes it: रउआ हमार मदद कइनी।
Many writers use -लीं instead, as in गइलीं and कहलीं. Both are fine, and you will meet -लीं in books and online. In speech around Ara and Chhapra, -नी is the usual one.
For हमनी, add जा: हमनी गइनी जा.
