The word before बानी can be a place (घरे, बजार में), a feeling (थाकल, ठीक) or a state (बेमार).

बानी also helps other tenses. In हम चाय पियत बानी (I am drinking tea), it is the helper after -त.

Use बानी, not ह, to say where you are. ह is for saying who or what you are, as in हम राहुल के भाई हईं.
