কৰা নাই
Not Yet Done
মই শোৱা নাই “I have not slept”, and সি শোৱা নাই “he has not slept”.
How It Works
The positive perfect changes with the person (কৰিছোঁ, কৰিছা, কৰিছে). The negative does not change. The -া form comes first and নাই stays at the end.
| Person | Positive | Negative |
|---|---|---|
| মই | শুইছোঁ | শোৱা নাই |
| সি | শুইছে | শোৱা নাই |
| তেওঁ | আহিছে | আহি পোৱা নাই |
Many verbs change their vowel in this form: খা gives খোৱা, পা gives পোৱা and যা gives যোৱা. Most verbs that end in a consonant just add -া, as in কৰ and কৰা. A few change the first vowel, such as আহ, which gives অহা. The helper পোৱা can follow another verb: বিচাৰি পোৱা নাই “I have not found it”, আহি পোৱা নাই “has not come yet” and দেখা পোৱা নাই “I have not been able to see it”.
