কৰা নাছিলোঁ
Had Not Done
মই সেইটো লিখা নাছিলোঁ “I had not written that”.
How It Works
The pattern is the same as in the present. In the present it ends in নাই, and in the past it ends in নাছিল.
| Time | Pattern | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Now | -া নাই | লিখা নাই “have not written” |
| Before | -া নাছিলোঁ | লিখা নাছিলোঁ “had not written” |
The verb itself does not change for the person, because only নাছিল takes the ending. Many verbs use the helper পোৱা and look like this: গম পোৱা নাছিলোঁ “I did not know”. Do not use this pattern for “was not doing”. For that, use কৰি থকা নাছিলোঁ.
