For a man or a thing, a verb with an object ends in -लस in the past.

How It Works

करल doकइलसकइली
पढ़ल readपढ़लसपढ़ली
देखल seeदेखलसदेखली

The ending follows the person who did the action, not the object. So राहुल चिट्ठी लिखलस and नेहा चिट्ठी लिखली, even though चिट्ठी is the same.

You will also see -लसि in writing. It is the same ending. Write -लस.

For a respected man or a group, use -लें: बाबूजी कहलें. For हम, use -नी.
