जब ... त
When ... Then
जब opens a time clause and त opens what happens then.
How It Works
This is the Bhojpuri when ... then. The first clause says the time, and the second says what is true then.
| Clause 1 | Clause 2 |
|---|---|
| जब बरखा होला, | त सड़क पर पानी भर जाला। |
| जब हम पहुँचनी, | त ऊ सुतल रहे। |
Both clauses use the verb tense that fits the meaning. For a habit, use the habitual form (होला). For a single past event, use the past (पहुँचनी).
You may also hear तब instead of त. In a quick conversation, speakers often drop it: जब आइब, फोन करब. The full pair is the safe one to learn first.
