चाहे ... चाहे
Whether ... or
चाहे ... चाहे means whether ... or, and the result stays the same.
How It Works
चाहे ... चाहे sets two cases side by side and then says they do not matter. It is the Bhojpuri "whether ... or ...".
| Part | Role |
|---|---|
| चाहे A | first case |
| चाहे B | second case |
| main clause | true in both cases |
With होखे, the cases are "it may be": चाहे बरखा होखे, चाहे घाम. With other verbs, use the -े or the -ऽ form that fits the person.
Do not confuse it with the single चाहे, which means "or" in a list: चाय चाहे कॉफी लीं. The doubled form with a result at the end means "whether ... or".
