कब
Asking When
कब asks when, and कहिया asks on what day.
How It Works
Two words ask about time.
| Word | Asks | Example |
|---|---|---|
| कब | when, at what time | गाड़ी कब आई? |
| कहिया | on what day | तू कहिया अइबऽ? |
Both usually go just before the verb or बा. They do not change for person or gender.
Typical answers: आज, काल्ह, अबहीं (now), सात बजे (at seven), रात के (at night).
Add से to ask since when. कब से can come earlier in the sentence: तू कब से इहाँ बाड़ऽ? (Since when have you been here?)
For where, use कहाँ.
