का
Asking What
का asks what and usually sits just before the verb.
How It Works
का means what. It does not change for person, gender or number.
| Question | Possible answer |
|---|---|
| तू का पियत बाड़ऽ? | हम चाय पियत बानी। |
| ई का ह? | ई किताब ह। |
| रउआ का खाइब? | हम रोटी खाइब। |
Put का just before the verb or ह. The thing you name in the answer usually goes into the same place.
The same word at the end of a sentence turns it into a yes or no question: तू आवत बाड़ऽ का? That use has its own entry.
Other question words are separate: काहे (why) and कवन (which).
