shuni taʼkidlash kerakki
It Should Be Stressed That
Shuni taʼkidlash kerakki, + the key point: Shuni taʼkidlash kerakki, loyiha muddatidan oldin tugadi (It should be stressed that the project finished ahead of time).
How It Works
How the frame works. Shuni is shu with the object ending -ni, and it stands for the point you are about to make. Taʼkidlash kerak is the -ish kerak pattern: one must stress. The linking -ki is written as part of kerakki, and a comma follows. Then comes the point itself.
A family of frames. Swap the verb or the necessity word to change the tone:
- Shuni aytish kerakki, ... (It must be said that ...)
- Shuni alohida taʼkidlash kerakki, ... (It should be especially stressed that ...)
- Shuni taʼkidlash lozimki, ... (It should be stressed that ..., with lozim)
- Taʼkidlash joizki, ... (It is worth noting that ...)
- Maʼlumki, ... (As is well known, ...)
With a real subject. The same shape works with a personal verb: Shuni maʼlum qilamizki, ... (We inform you that ...) is a standard line in official replies. The key point always comes after the -ki word, never before it.
Register. These frames sound formal. In conversation, people more often say Aytmoqchimanki, ... (What I want to say is ...) or simply make the point. For single words that comment on a whole sentence, see parenthetical words.

Common Mistakes
