How It Works

1. Add Another Point
อนึ่ง introduces an additional matter, rendered here as “furthermore” or “in addition.” In the displayed notice, minutes, and regulation examples, read the whole added statement. These clauses illustrate grammar; they do not establish current application requirements, a real meeting decision, or a rule in force.

2. Follow the Complete Statement
Compare และ joining items and นอกจากนี้ introducing additional information in their own complete examples. In the first sentence, อนึ่ง introduces the instruction to attach a copy and certify its accuracy. In the second, it introduces an administrative instruction after a meeting resolution. In the third, it introduces an effective date. None of these examples establishes that อนึ่ง can never introduce a request or conclusion; compare จึง in its own result contexts.

3. Position and Context
อนึ่ง begins the added statement in these examples, including after the preceding resolution in the second sentence. This is the displayed pattern, not a ban on every other position or on quoting it in conversation. NIU’s selected dictionary entry also gives a statement about wanting to live in one’s own way, so the lexical meaning is not restricted to legal matters.

4. Keep Sound and Meaning Separate
The linked leading-consonant entry concerns spelling and sound. It does not prove an etymology or a discourse-position rule for อนึ่ง. Learn that separate topic from its complete spelling examples.

5. The Requested Exercises
The first task requests the displayed แล้วก็ invitation. The อนึ่ง version does not reproduce that requested connector; it could be deliberately marked or quoted in another context. The second requests ฉันซื้อส้มและแอปเปิล, joining the two purchased items with และ. The exercise tests that item list, not every possible sentence containing อนึ่ง.

    Additionally, these regulations are to take effect from the announcement date onward.

    อนึ่ง adds the effective-date statement in this illustrative clause. เป็นต้นไป expresses “onward”; the sentence is not evidence that any real regulation is currently in force or that this is a mandatory closing formula.

Common Mistakes

  • Not reproducing the requested แล้วก็ invitation.

    อนึ่ง พรุ่งนี้เราไปกินข้าวกันไหม
    แล้วก็ พรุ่งนี้เราไปกินข้าวกันไหม

    This task requests แล้วก็ พรุ่งนี้เราไปกินข้าวกันไหม with แล้วก็. The อนึ่ง version uses a different connector; it could be deliberately marked or quoted in another context. Compare นอกจากนี้ in its own examples rather than treating all additional-point connectors as interchangeable.

  • Not reproducing the requested two-item list with และ.

    ฉันซื้อส้มอนึ่งแอปเปิล
    ฉันซื้อส้มและแอปเปิล

    The task requests ฉันซื้อส้มและแอปเปิล with และ connecting oranges and apples as purchased items. ฉันซื้อส้มอนึ่งแอปเปิล does not reproduce that list construction. This is not a ban on every อนึ่ง appearing after earlier text.
