नीक लागल

Liking and Feeling: लागल

Level 1Sounds Like nīka lāgala

Person in the हमरा form, plus the thing, plus नीक लागेला, means like.

How It Works

Bhojpuri does not say I like with हम as the subject. It says that something feels good to me. So the person takes the हमरा form, and the verb agrees with the thing.

MeaningPatternExample
like (always)नीक लागेलाहमरा ई गाना नीक लागेला।

feeling nowलागल बाहमरा भूख लागल बा।
like, plainपसंद बाहमरा लिट्टी-चोखा पसंद बा।

पसंद बा works the same way. Other feelings use the same frame: हमरा प्यास लागल बा (I am thirsty), हमरा ठंडा लागत बा (I feel cold).
