How It Works

Use this form when one action happens first and another follows, or when one action explains how the other is done.

Stem-ি formMeaning
কৰকৰিhaving done
খাখাইhaving eaten
যাগৈhaving gone
হহৈhaving become
ললৈhaving taken
দিদিhaving given

The same -ি form also joins helper verbs in later rows, such as কৰি পেলোৱা and কৰি দিয়া. The linked verb never takes -লোঁ, -লা or -লে. The person ending sits only on the last verb: মই এৰি আহিলোঁ, সি এৰি আহিল.
