-ি পেলোৱা

Finishing Off: -ি পেলোৱা

Level 3Sounds Like ̔i pēlōraā

তাই টেবুলখন মচি পেলালে “she wiped the table clean”.

How It Works

পেলোৱা is the name of the helper. In a sentence it changes like other verbs: পেলালোঁ for মই, পেলালা for তুমি, পেলালে for সি, তাই, তেওঁ and আপুনি.

PersonDone completely
মইহেৰাই পেলালোঁ I lost it
তুমিমচি পেলালা you wiped it away
তাই, সি, তেওঁমচি পেলালে she wiped it away

The helper often goes with actions that finish something or cannot be undone: losing, deleting, wiping. The main verb carries the meaning and keeps the -ি form. English often needs an extra word such as “away” or “up”.
