Maithili in Janakpur and Nepal
Nepal's Maithili uses largely the same grammar with some Nepali official words.
How It Works
Janakpur is the main city of Mithila in Nepal, and Maithili is widely spoken across the region. The grammar is largely the same as in Darbhanga and Madhubani. The difference is in vocabulary for government and public life, where Nepali is the official language.

- Verbs, pronouns and postpositions are largely the same as elsewhere, with some local differences.
