-ब for the Future
The Future with हम and अहाँ
For हम and अहाँ, the future is the dictionary form ending in -ब.
How It Works
| Person | Future of करब |
|---|---|
| हम, अहाँ, अपने | करब |
| तोँ | करबह |
The verbs जाएब, आएब, खाएब and देखब work the same way: हम जाएब, अहाँ आएब, हम खाएब, अहाँ देखब.
The future has no ending for gender. A man and a woman both say हम जाएब. Hindi would need जाऊँगा or जाऊँगी.
For the negative, put नहि before it: हम नहि जाएब. For other people the future ends in -त or -ताह, which the next entry shows.
The same -ब form also names the action, as in पढ़ब नीक बात अछि (Studying is a good thing). Context tells you which meaning is there.
