How It Works
| Phrase | Meaning |
|---|---|
| kiel eble plej frue | as early as possible |
| ĉiukaze | in any case |
| unuavide | at first sight |
| pli-malpli | more or less |
| sendube | without doubt |
Kiel eble plej asks for the highest degree that is possible. A word follows it: an adverb, as in kiel eble plej rapide, or an adjective that agrees with its noun, as in kiel eble plej malgrandan amplekson. The twin phrase kiom eble (as much as possible) is more careful and admits that there are limits.
Ĉiukaze, unuavide and sendube are single adverbs. They come from ĉiu kazo (every case), unua vido (first sight) and sen dubo (without doubt). Pli-malpli is written with a hyphen. These adverbs take no -j or -n.
