ni, vi, ili
We, You, They
We, you all and they.
How It Works
The plural pronouns stand for more than one person or thing.
| Pronoun | Meaning | Use |
|---|---|---|
| ni | we | the speaker and others |
| vi | you | two or more people you talk to |
| ili | they | people, animals or things |
The verb stays the same: ni laboras, vi laboras, ili laboras. When ni, vi or ili stands before estas and an adjective, the adjective takes -j: Ili estas belaj.
A group that includes you is ni: Kenji kaj mi becomes ni. A group that you talk to is vi. A group that you talk about is ili.
