लागत अहै कि
It Seems That: लागत अहै कि
लागत अहै कि means it seems or it looks like.
How It Works
The verb लागब also means "seem" or "feel". With कि it introduces a guess about what is going on.
| Guess | Sentence |
|---|---|
| rain is coming | लागत अहै कि पानी बरसी। |
| Amit won't come | लागत अहै कि अमित नाहीं आई। |
| everyone is asleep | लागत अहै कि सब सोइ गए। |
The clause after कि keeps its own tense and person. लागत अहै stays the same for any guess.
It works for what you see, hear or feel. नेहा का देखि के लागत अहै कि ऊ थकि गई अहै (looking at Neha, it seems she is tired).
Do not mix it up with नीक लागब (to like). There the person takes का and the thing is liked: हमका चाय नीक लागत अहै.
