How It Works

Stemऊ
जाजाई
करकरी
आआई
देखदेखी
होहोई

-ई is for one person or thing who is not you. For several people or someone you respect, use -इहैं. For तुम use -इहौ.

The same shape is used with हम for a question or suggestion: हम जाई? means "shall I go?". So the meaning depends on the subject: ऊ जाई is "he will go", and हम जाई? is "shall I go?".

For "will not", put नाहीं before the verb: ऊ नाहीं आई.

आई is also the past for a woman, so नेहा आई can mean "Neha came". The words around it show which one it is.

Examples (5)

Amit will go to the market tomorrow.
