Liking Something:
नीक लागब says that someone likes something.
How It Works
Build the sentence in three steps.
- The person gets
- Then the thing that is liked.
The helper follows the thing liked, not the person. (Do you like mangoes?)
To say someone does not like it, put नाहीं between नीक and लागत: हमका ई गाना नीक नाहीं लागत अहै.
Use this pattern for everyday likes: songs, food, places and people.
Examples (5)
I like this song a lot.
हमका is the one who likes; गाना is what is liked.
Neha likes tea in the cold season.
नेहा का marks Neha as the one who likes.
Do you like mangoes?
आम is plural, so the helper is अहैं.
Mother likes kajri songs.
The person who likes takes का, even for a family word.
I do not like this film.
नाहीं comes between नीक and लागत.
Common Mistakes
The person who likes has no का.
Without का, the sentence has no one who likes; हम cannot be the subject here.
