Managing to: पाउब

Level 4Sounds Like i pā'uba

The -इ form plus पाउब means manage to, and with नाहीं it means could not.

How It Works

पाउब after the joining form tells whether a try worked out. It looks at the result, not at skill.

PersonPastExample

In the future the stem shortens: (When will you manage to come?)

Neha could not come yesterday:

Compare -इ सकब, which is about being able in general: ऊ अवधी बोलि सकत अहै. -इ पाउब is about whether it came off this time.
