चाहब
Wanting Someone to: चाहब
चाहत अहै कि plus a short verb form says what someone wants another person to do.
How It Works
To say you want someone to do something, use चाहत अहै कि and then a new clause. The second clause has its own subject and uses the short "might" form.
| Who does it | Short form |
|---|---|
| हम | पढ़ी |
| तुम | रहौ |
| ऊ | आवै |
| ऊ (several, respect) | आवैं |
The helper after चाहत follows the person who wants: चाहत अही (हम), चाहत हौ (तुम), चाहत अहै (ऊ), चाहत अहैं (respect or several).
Because the second clause has its own subject, you can say "I want you to" as easily as "Mom wants me to": हम चाहत अही कि तुम आव.
For "you should", use करै का चाही instead.
