PlaceWith -লৈMeaning
স্কুলস্কুললৈto school
বজাৰবজাৰলৈto the market
ঘৰঘৰলৈto home
গুৱাহাটীগুৱাহাটীলৈto Guwahati
ইয়াইয়ালৈto here

The ending -ত “in, at” usually says where you are, and -লৈ says where you go. Compare ঘৰত “at home” and ঘৰলৈ “to home”.

The question word is ক’লৈ “to where”, as in তোমালোক ক’লৈ যাবা? “where are you going?”.

The ending does not change after a vowel or a consonant. The verb stands last in the sentence, as in মই ঘৰলৈ যাম.
