जैसे-जैसे ... वैसे-वैसे means as one thing changes, so does another.
How It Works
जैसे-जैसे introduces something that changes little by little, and वैसे-वैसे opens the clause that changes along with it. वैसे-वैसे is often left out. English says as ... or the more ... the more.
Both clauses describe gradual change, so the verbs often use -ता जाना (बढ़ता गया, होती गई) or an ongoing form (बढ़ रहा है). The two clauses share the same time: past with past, present with present, future with future.

Two similar patterns are easy to confuse with it. जितना ... उतना compares amounts (जितना पढ़ोगे, उतना सीखोगे). जैसे ही means as soon as and marks a single moment. In formal writing you will meet the same idea as ज्यों-ज्यों ... त्यों-त्यों.

वैसे-वैसे is left out here.
- जैसे-जैसे दिन बीतते गए, उनकी दोस्ती गहरी होती गई।
As the days went by, their friendship grew deeper.
-ता जाना (बीतते गए, होती गई) shows both changes building up.
