-नुपर्ने

Things That Must Be Done

Level 4Sounds Like nuparnē

-नुपर्ने means that must be done.

How It Works

-नुपर्छ means must. Swap the final -छ for -ने and you get a describing word: -नुपर्ने means that has to be done.

  • गर्नुपर्ने काम (work that has to be done).
  • किन्नुपर्ने सामान (things that must be bought).
  • बुझ्नुपर्ने कुरा (a thing that must be understood).

The doer can come first: आज मैले गर्नुपर्ने धेरै काम छ. We write it as one word, just like जानुपर्छ, though print sometimes shows two words.

Use it to talk about tasks, lists and duties, such as a shopping list or a school form. For the plain obligation in a sentence, use -नुपर्छ.
