जहाँ तक ... का सवाल है
As Far as ... Is Concerned
जहाँ तक X का सवाल है means as for X, or as far as X is concerned.
How It Works
This frame announces what you are about to talk about, often to set it apart from other topics: as for the money, as far as I'm concerned. The main sentence follows after a comma.
Word for word it means as far as the question of X goes. जहाँ तक does not refer to a place here.
Build the frame like this:
- the topic noun in its form before a postposition: समय, यात्रा, पैसों, खाने
- का, followed by the masculine noun सवाल, which it agrees with
- है at the end of the frame, then a comma
With a pronoun, use the possessive, still agreeing with सवाल: जहाँ तक मेरा सवाल है (as far as I'm concerned), जहाँ तक उनका सवाल है. A woman also says मेरा here, because the word agrees with सवाल, not with the speaker.
In speech, बात often replaces सवाल. बात is feminine, so the possessive changes to की: जहाँ तक पढ़ाई की बात है, जहाँ तक मेरी बात है.
The frame sounds careful and a little formal, so it suits discussions, interviews and writing.
