რაც შეეხება introduces a new topic: as for, as regards.

How It Works

რაც შეეხება (rats sheekheba) moves the talk to a new subject. Word for word it means what concerns, and შეეხება (concerns) takes its topic in the dative:

The topic goes in the dative: ფასს, not ფასი. When the topic is me or you, the verb takes the person marker: რაც შემეხება (as for me), რაც შეგეხება (as for you).

It is a little more formal than კი (Level 3), which does the same job in conversation: ფასს კი ხვალ გეტყვით (the price, I'll tell you tomorrow). Use რაც შეეხება when you list several points, in a meeting or in writing.

    As for me, I'd rather go to the sea.

    For me, the verb is შემეხება.

  4. რაც შეეხება ამინდს, ხვალ წვიმა არ იქნება.

    As for the weather, there won't be any rain tomorrow.
