მინდა
I Want
მინდა means I want.
How It Works
| Who | wants |
|---|---|
| I | მინდა |
| you (one friend) | გინდა |
| he, she | უნდა |
| we | გვინდა |
| you (several, or polite) | გინდათ |
| they | უნდათ |
To offer something politely, use the -თ form: წყალი გინდათ? (Would you like some water?)
The thing you want stays in the nominative: ყავა მინდა, never ყავას მინდა. For the negative, put არ before it: არ მინდა (I don't want it).
უნდა has a second job: before another verb it means must. You will learn that at Level 4, together with how to say I want to go.
A short answer: ჩაი გინდა? კი, მინდა (Do you want tea? Yes, I do).
