მშია/მწყურია
Hungry and Thirsty
მშია means I'm hungry and მწყურია means I'm thirsty.
How It Works
| Who | hungry | thirsty |
|---|---|---|
| I | მშია | მწყურია |
| you (one friend) | გშია | გწყურია |
| he, she | შია | სწყურია |
| we | გვშია | გვწყურია |
| you (several, or polite) | გშიათ | გწყურიათ |
Add ძალიან for very: ძალიან მშია (I'm very hungry).
These words answer an offer nicely: წყალი გინდა? კი, მწყურია (Do you want some water? Yes, I'm thirsty).
When the person is a name or a noun, it takes -ს: ბავშვს შია (the child is hungry).
Being cold and hot work the same way: მცივა (I'm cold) and მცხელა (I'm hot) come at Level 2.
For they, add -თ: შიათ (they are hungry).
