एहसे

So, That's Why

Level 3Sounds Like ēhasē

एहसे means so or that's why.

How It Works

एहसे links two sentences: the reason, then what followed. A comma or a danda before it is usual.

ReasonएहसेResult
बरखा होत रहे,एहसेहम घरे रहनी।
दुकान बंद रहे,एहसेहम खाली हाथ लौट अइनी।

It is the reverse of काहे कि, which gives the reason second: हम घरे रहनी, काहे कि बरखा होत रहे.

Both say the same facts. Choose the order you want to stress. ओहसे (from that) is the matching far form and is also heard for so, but एहसे is the common word.
