कुन
Asking Which One
कुन means which.
How It Works
कुन is which. When it goes with a noun, it comes right before that noun.
| Question | Meaning |
|---|---|
| कुन बस काठमाडौं जान्छ? | Which bus goes to Kathmandu? |
| तपाईं कुन देशको हुनुहुन्छ? | Which country are you from? |
| तिम्रो घर कुन हो? | Which one is your house? |
कुन does not change with the noun, so there is no plural. If you want to say which ones, use कुन-कुन with a hyphen, as in कुन-कुन किताब?
कुन is not the same as को (who) or के (what). को asks about a person. के asks what a thing is. कुन asks you to pick one from a group: कुन किताब राम्रो छ? means which book is good?
Use कुन with a noun or alone, as in कुन हो? when pointing at a row of houses. Do not use को before a noun to mean which.
