How It Works
Take the past form of the verb and change the last -ला to -लेला: आला → आलेला, गेला → गेलेला, केला → केलेला, घेतला → घेतलेला, लिहिला → लिहिलेला, भिजला → भिजलेला.

When the doer comes first with -ने, the noun after -लेला is the object: तिने लिहिलेले पत्र means “the letter she wrote”. The doer takes -ने, except मी, तू, आम्ही and तुम्ही. The form can also describe the doer: पुस्तक वाचलेला मुलगा (the boy who has read the book).
The same word shows a state that remains: तुटलेला कप is a cup that broke and is still broken.
For something that is happening now, use -णारा: येणारा पाहुणा is the guest who is coming.
The oblique plural is -लेल्या too: आलेल्या पाहुण्यांना (to the guests who came).
Check the gender of the noun first: साडी is feminine (घेतलेली), पत्र is neuter (लिहिलेले) and पाहुणा is masculine (आलेला).

Common Mistakes
Not matching -लेला to the noun.
काल आलेला पाहुणी माझी मावशी आहे.काल आलेली पाहुणी माझी मावशी आहे.पाहुणी is feminine, so the word is आलेली.
Using the masculine form for a neuter noun.
