मीIआहेकरतो (man), करते (woman)
तूfriend, child, sibling, own parentआहेसकरतोस (to a man), करतेस (to a woman)
तुम्हीelder, stranger, groupआहातकरता

A habit verb with मी shows if the speaker is a man or a woman. A habit verb with तू shows if the listener is a man or a woman. The form of to be does not show it. The verb after तुम्ही stays the same for a man and a woman: तुम्ही आहात, तुम्ही करता.

Ask an elder or a stranger with तुम्ही. Ask a friend with तू.
