Each Other
Се with a plural verb can mean each other: Се гледаме утре! (See you tomorrow!, literally "We see each other tomorrow.")
How It Works
Се for each other. Verbs that take a direct object, such as гледа, сака, познава, запознава, use се: Се познаваме од училиште. (We know each other from school.) · Се запознавме лани. (We met last year.)
Си for to each other. Verbs that take a to-someone object, such as помага, пишува, верува, use си (see си за себе and глаголи со индиректен објект: помага; верува): Си пишуваме секој ден. (We write to each other every day.)
After a preposition. Се and си cannot follow a preposition, so Macedonian uses еден + preposition + друг:
- Зборуваат еден со друг. — They talk to each other.
- Се грижат еден за друг. — They look after each other.
- Мислат еден на друг. — They think of each other.
The pair changes for gender: една со друга for women only and едни со други for larger groups. For men, or for a man and a woman, use еден со друг.
Making it clear. Се can also mean themselves, so context decides: Се мијат usually means they wash themselves. To make each other unmistakable, add еден со друг, еден на друг or меѓусебно (mutually): Си помагаат еден на друг.
The same се appears in the reflexive meaning in себе; се; себеси.

Common Mistakes
Using себе when you mean each other.
Мислат на себе.Мислат еден на друг.You want to say that they think of each other, but на себе means about themselves. For each other after a preposition, use еден на друг.
Using се with a verb that takes a to-someone object.
Се пишуваат секој ден.Си пишуваат секој ден.You mean that they write to each other. Пишува takes a to-someone object, so the reciprocal is си. Се пишуваат means "are written", as in Како се пишуваат овие зборови?
