How It Works
| Polite form | Plain form | Meaning |
|---|---|---|

| მობრძანდით! | მოდით! | Come in! Welcome! |

| ბრძანეთ. | Here you are. Go ahead. | |
| რა ბრძანეთ? | რა თქვით? | What did you say? |
ბრძანდებით (brdzandebit) is a respectful are for თქვენ. For a third person, use ბრძანდება: ქალბატონი ნინო სახლში ბრძანდება? (Is Ms. Nino at home?)
These words show respect to the person you are talking to or about, so they go with guests, elders, customers and strangers. Using them about yourself would sound like praising yourself, so say ვარ, მოვედი, დავჯექი.
ბრძანეთ is very handy: a waiter says it when bringing your coffee, and people say it to let someone else speak first.
