कब asks when.

How It Works

कब means when. As with other question words, it sits where the answer would be.

हम काल्हि जाब।तुम कब जइहौ?
ऊ आजु आवा।ऊ कब आवा?

Notice the future with तुम: जइहौ. The आ of जा shortens before -इहौ.

कब alone is also a full question: कब? (When?). To ask how long until something, you can say कब तक: तुम कब तक रहिहौ? (Until when will you stay?)

Answers use words like आजु (today), काल्हि (tomorrow or yesterday), अबहीं (right now) and a time such as सात बजे.
