आजु means today, अबहीं means right now, and काल्हि means both yesterday and tomorrow.

How It Works

These three words go at the start of the sentence, or just before the verb.

With काल्हि, look at the verb.

When the verb does not settle it, name the day instead, such as इतवार के दिन (on Sunday).

अबहीं is a stronger form of अब (now). It means this very moment.

आजु बजार बंद अहै।
The market is closed today.
आजु starts the sentence.
अबहीं बस आवत अहै।
The bus is coming right now.
अबहीं means this very moment.
काल्हि हम बजार गएन।
I went to the market yesterday.
With a past verb, काल्हि is yesterday.
काल्हि हम बजार जाब।
I will go to the market tomorrow.
With a future verb, काल्हि is tomorrow.
