-িব খোজে / -িব বিচাৰে
Wanting to Do Something
The -িব form (or -ব after a vowel) + খোজ or বিচাৰ means “want to”.
How It Works
| Person | Pattern | Example |
|---|---|---|
| মই | -িব খোজোঁ / বিচাৰোঁ | মই ঘৰলৈ যাব খোজোঁ |
| তুমি | -িব খোজা / বিচাৰা | তুমি কি খাব বিচাৰা? |
| আপুনি, সি, তাই, তেওঁ | -িব খোজে / বিচাৰে | ৰফিকুলে তেজপুৰত পঢ়িব খোজে |
The first word is the same -িব form that you know from the future, such as কৰিব and যাব. The second word is a verb with a normal present ending.
খোজ also means “ask for” and বিচাৰ also means “look for”. After a -িব verb they both mean “want”.
A yes-or-no question adds -নে to the end: আপুনি আহিব খোজেনে? “do you want to come?”.
Put the thing wanted before the first verb: তাই চাহ খাব বিচাৰে “she wants to drink tea”.
