Asking a Yes-or-No Question
Keep the statement’s basic order and add کیا at the beginning. The listener can answer by confirming or denying it.
How It Works
. The person and location stay in their usual places; the opening کیا marks the question.
. The first can receive a yes or no; the second asks for a location. Choose the question pattern for the information you need.
In conversation, intonation can also make a question without the opening marker. Sentence-initial کیا is a useful clear pattern while you are learning.
Do not change the pronoun’s agreement just because the sentence is a question. Respectful آپ still goes with ہیں.

This asks for confirmation, not for the identity of an object.

The plural keys still take ہیں.
Is Nida here too?
The person’s name stays in the statement’s usual position.
