Use کب where a time expression could go in the answer. The answer may name a clock time, a day or another occasion.

How It Works

دکان کب کھلتی ہے؟ asks when the shop opens as part of its schedule. An answer might give a clock time.

بس کب آتی ہے؟ asks when the bus comes. The form آتی ہے describes its regular arrival and agrees with feminine بس.

چھٹی کب ہے؟ asks when the holiday is. The answer may name a day or date.

Keep کب distinct from کہاں: one asks when, the other where. To ask for a duration such as how long, use a different question phrase.

This asks about the usual opening time.
بس کب آتی ہے؟
When does the bus come?
The question asks about the bus schedule; آتی ہے uses feminine agreement.
