anar + Infinitive
Near Future with Anar
Anar and an infinitive tell what is about to happen.
How It Works
To talk about something that will happen soon, use anar in the present and then an infinitive. Nothing goes between the two verbs.
| Who | Anar + infinitive |
|---|---|
| ieu | vau manjar |
| tu | vas manjar |
| el, ela | va manjar |
| nosautres | anam manjar |
| vosautres | anatz manjar |
| eles, elas | van manjar |
Compare two uses of anar. With a place, it means to go: Vau a Tolosa. With an infinitive, it says what you are about to do: Vau manjar.
A word for time makes the plan clear: Deman vau trabalhar (Tomorrow I am going to work).
