nosautres, vosautres, eles, elas
Plural Subject Pronouns
Nosautres, vosautres, eles and elas mean we, you (all) and they.
How It Works
The plural pronouns go with the plural verb endings.
| Pronoun | Meaning | èsser | parlar |
|---|---|---|---|
| nosautres, nosautras | we | sèm | parlam |
| vosautres, vosautras | you (all) | sètz | parlatz |
| eles | they (men or mixed) | son | parlan |
| elas | they (women) | son | parlan |
The feminine forms nosautras and vosautras are for groups of women only. For a mixed group, use the masculine forms. This course uses the masculine forms in its examples.
As with the singular pronouns, you can leave them out: Parlam occitan. already means "We speak Occitan." Say the pronoun to stress the group or to tell eles from elas.
