a quina ora
At What Time
A quina ora asks at what time something happens.
How It Works
Use a quina ora to ask for the clock time of an event. The question starts with a, then quina ora, then an ordinary verb.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| A quina ora partissètz? | Partissèm a sèt oras. |
| A quina ora arriba Maria? | Arriba a sièis oras e mièja. |
Keep the a in the answer: a sèt oras, a una ora. Add del matin or another part of the day when it helps. The question Quina ora es? without a asks what time it is now, and it has no event verb. The numbers and the words for half and quarter hours are in las oras and las oras e quart.
