Which and What Kind of
Quin and quina ask which or what kind of, before a noun.
How It Works

| Singular | Plural | |
|---|---|---|
| Masculine | quin libre | quines libres |
| Feminine | quina ora | quinas lengas |
The question has the normal word order and needs no helping verb: Quin libre vòles? means Which book do you want? Quina ora es? uses the feminine form because ora is feminine. The Laus dictionary lists qual as another form of the same word, but this course uses quin with a noun and qual alone.
Write quin, not the French quel.
