Learn zèro to dètz as fixed counting words.
How It Works
| Number | Word | Number | Word |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | zèro | 6 | sièis |
| 1 | un | 7 | sèt |
| 2 | dos | 8 | uèch |
| 3 | tres | 9 | nòu |
| 4 | quatre | 10 | dètz |
| 5 | cinc |
Put the number before a plural noun: quatre libres, sièis cadièras. Only un and dos have a feminine form (una, doas); see the next entries. A number can also stand alone as an answer.
Keep the accents: sièis, sèt, uèch, nòu, dètz. The word nòu also means "new" (nòu, nòva), and the sentence shows which one you mean. Use i a to say how many things there are, and aver to say how many you have.
