Level 4Sounds Like hōlā

होला means probably is.

How It Works

होला is the probable-future form of हुनु (to be). Use it where you would say probably is, must be or I suppose.

DoerForm
ऊहोला
उनीहरूहोलान्
तपाईं, उहाँहुनुहोला

A woman takes होली as ऊ and होलिन् as उनी: सरिता घरमा होलिन्. A woman you respect highly takes हुनुहोला, like a man. For plural things, speech often keeps होला.

It guesses about place, owner or state: ऊ घरमा होला, यो किताब सरिताको होला, भोलि तातो होला.

Use it only when you are not sure. For something you know, use छ or हो. The longer guess -एको होला is a separate entry. In a question, होला also wonders aloud: कहाँ होला? means where could it be?
