हम की करी?
Should I? Suggestions
A short form ending in -ी asks what to do or makes a suggestion.
How It Works
The wish form for the speaker is the stem plus -ी (after a consonant) or -इ (after ा).
| Verb | Form |
|---|---|
| करब | करी |
| पढ़ब | पढ़ी |
| देखब | देखी |
| आएब | आबी |
| जाएब | जाइ |
| बैसब | बैसी |
Use it in two ways:
- A question for advice: हम की करी? (What should I do?) हम सभ कतय बैसी? (Where should we sit?)
- A suggestion with चलू: चलू, चाह पिबी। (Come on, let's have tea.)
It also asks for permission: हम भीतर आबी? (May I come in?).
Do not use करू here. करू is the polite command to अहाँ, so it does not go with हम.
