The reason clause states a fact, so its verb keeps its normal tense. The clause often comes first, followed by a comma: ვინაიდან მომხსენებელი ავად გახდა, კონფერენცია გადაიდო (since the speaker fell ill, the conference was postponed).
It can also come second: განცხადება არ მიიღეს, ვინაიდან ვადა გასული იყო (the application was not accepted, since the deadline had passed).
In a conversation with friends, ვინაიდან sounds stiff. Use რადგან there.
